Revealed!!! Studio Calico January Kits.

Hello Everybody!

Welcome to my very first design team gig with Studio Calico. Today Studio Calico is releasing its January Kits. As a card team creative member, here are the photos of the card kit, add-on kits and my projects I have been working with.

Studio Calico January Card Kit

Here are a few cards I made using the main card kit.

You will love the 6 x 6 paper pad in the main kit. Gorgeous papers and there are couple of solid colours in there as well. I have gone for clean and simple style as I was experimenting with the kit for the first time.

In this card, I love the pop of green and blue colours.I have raised the sentiment stickers to add interest.  I let the colour speak for itself. Again clean and simple style

In this card, I have used the stamps set from the main kit. Brought colours by stamping in coloured inks and kept the background neutral. I love the honeycomb grey pattern paper from the 6x6 pad:) There are so many possibilities using the contents in the main card kit. You can make clean and simple cards like how I have done here. or you can layer your cards with some gorgeous embellishments. So no matter what your style is, this is the kit for you.

Now, here is the first Add on Kit called Pollard Avenue.

OMG! what can I tell you? This kit is awesome. I am in love with the embellishements in this kit. Those enamel dots, chipboard star stickers, washi tape are my favourite. Here are couple of projects, I made using Pollard Avenue Add On kit #1

I love white, grey and yellow colour combination. It is one of my favourite colour combination. So when I saw these colours in the kit. I pulled them all out and made these two cards.

To break the monotony of the white, grey and yellow, I decided to use the green corrigated alpha stickers as my sentiment. Those pattern papers are so gorgeous, that they deserve their share on the card. So I have deviated and made layered cards with plenty of embellishements. Loving the layered cards.

The next Add On Kit I have used is called WildBerry Court.

Look at those embellishements and the warm colours of the pattern paper?  I bet you already love this kit. Here are a few cards I made using this kit and digital printable for January.

I printed out the digital printables and they coordinate so well with this kit. The double sided papers are just perfect. So I have used just one paper on the card above. The chevron strips on one side and the blue flourish pattern on the other side was perfect. Another layered card. I wanted to use each and every embellishment on my cards.lol! They are so beautiful.

This card is my style of card. CAS bold and graphic using the stamps, inks and paper with one embellishment. Wood Venneer Arrows are gorgeous. I painted them with orange acrylic paint and glued them  Love the graphic look of this card.

I started liking layered cards a lot. So I made another:) I love everything on tis card. The labels are from January Printables. Look at those enamel dots. They are so yummy and are my favourite.

I hope you like my projects using Studio Calico's January Card Kit, Pollard Avenue Add-On kit #1 and WildBerry Court Add-On Kit #2. I am excited with these kits. I bet you will too:)

Wait there is more coming using another add on kit soon. So make sure to visit again:)

The Craft's Meow December Sketch

G' morning everybody!

What a gorgeous Friday? Sun is out and with slight wind, it is a lovely day so far. Great start to the weekend.
I have couple of cards share today. I made these cards using The Craft's Meow December Sketch.
Here is the sketch for you:)

Well, how gorgeous is this sketch? I decided to make a CAS version of this sketch first and here it is for you.

I have kept the broad layout of the sketch intact. Just substituted the bow with the sentiment instead of inside the panel. I wanted to make a new year card. I have used Happy New Year Stamp Set from The Craft's Meow. Hope you like it.

Then I looked at the sketch and loved all the layers on it. Why not make a card with some gorgeous pattern papers with layers, ribbons and bow? So here is the layered card using the same sketch for you:)

The pattern papers are from My Mind's Eye Lost and Found 6 x 6 paper pad. The stamp set I have used is called Christmas Cheer from The Craft's Meow. Love the vintage look of this card. And I am in love with this pattern paper and the stamp set:)

If you are looking for a gorgeous sketch to make cards, this sketch is awesome. Whether you want to make clean and simple version or layered version, this sketch will work for you:)

Make sure you link your project here. One lucky winner will receive a stamp set of your choice from The Craft's Meow:)

Dashing thru the holidays....

Hello Everybody,

Welcome to a two week challenge at CAS-ual Fridays. I know it is early for CAS-ual Fridays Challenge. But today we are teaming up with Pauline's 10 minute craft dash challenge.:)

And the theme for CAS-ual Fridays Challenge is

Make a holiday card in 10 minutes:) By now you must be in the middle or completed making your Christmas cards, right? So this must be easy peasy!
 Here is mine:)

I have used Snowflake Greetings from CAS-ual Fridays to make my card. I first stamped the sentiment. Then stamped the snowflake in blue and again stamped second generation overlaping the first image. Then stamped the third image in another colour-coral! Similarly smaller snowflakes. Added rhinestones to the snowflakes. And thats it. I really like how simple and easy it is to make. All you have to do is select impressive colour combinations:) This took me like less than 5 minutes. I am thrilled with it. I took my photo outside because it was nice and sunny. And my light tent is not yet set up. It came out too bright I think:( Sorry abut that!

Play along, you have two weeks on this challenge. And make sure you plan ahead and gather your stash before you make your project:) Check out CAS-ual Fridays Challenge Blog for more inspirations.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!

Thanks for sharing my exciting news. I am just as nervous as I am thrilled because of the amazing and talented designers I am working with:)

Many of you know I am in the mist of moving town. Inspite of planning ahead, things haven't gone accordingly:( There has been delay and goof ups along the way frustrating me.I am in my new house in Perth. My house alarm decided to go off last night suddenly without any intruders. Boxes are yet to delivered! Most frustrating is the internet. After many phone calls, chasing up the modem package from one post office to another, I finally have internet now. And that is why I am late in sharing my exciting news. Plenty of emails to catch up with over the weekend.I am expecting to be back in full swing by middle of next week (fingers crossed)

The Craft's Meow Blog Hop!

Today is The Craft's Meow's Blog Hop.

the craft's meow.

You should have come from The Craft's Meow Blog. But it is OK if this is the first place you have visited because I have listed all the participants for this Blog Hop towards the end of the post.
For my Blog Hop I am showcasing Beautiful Shelf Stamp Set.

And here is my card using the stamp set.

I like that I can create the warm welcome feeling when you open your home door for your guest:) The quilt, the console table and the vase of flowers with the sentiment are perfect combination. The senitment is from Stitched Sentiment One. I love how my card turned out. I have done a lot of paper piecing. Thats because, some of my craft supplies are stranded in my new house. Among those supplies are my memento ink. So I couldn't colour using copics. Sometimes, one has to get creative with whatever is available, right?

Anyway, if you like to participate in the blog hop, then here is the list of all the participant of the blog hop. You are going to have a blast hopping.

After hopping all the blogs, make sure to leave a comment on the The Craft's Meow Blog. By doing so you will enter into a chance of winning a Stamp Set of you choice from The Craft's Meow Store.

Comments must be left by 9pm PST, Wed Nov 14th

Happy Hopping!
