Another Christmas card!

Morning everybody,

I am following hurricane Sandy closely as I have family and friends living in east coast. I have my uncle and my aunt living in New Jersey! Fingers crossed, I will hear from them soon. Keep safe people! Thinking of all of you!

Here is a Christmas card made using the new Wplus9 stamps and dies.

Love the nordic circular stamp on the background. That is an older set called Winter Wishes.. Love to combine older with new sets. I generally do just to get more out of the older sets as well.

Ok then, got to go now. Very busy day for me. Therapy session to do, then pick up kids from school, take them to swimming after that. And it is going to rain here. Very muggy. Hope it downs and cools down.

See you soon!

Paper Crafting Tips & Tricks Week: The Square Punch Challenge

A quick post. I was making a lot of DT projects this morning and had a idea to make a card for The Square Punch Challenge @ Moxie Fab World! So put the idea into paper and here it is for you:)

I basically punched out a few red and green squared from pattern papers and cut them diagonally and arranged them. Added bling (always!lol!) I just love the pattern and colour the paper brings. And a simple birthday sentiment. Very clean and simple. Hope you like it.

Hope! Love! Joy!

Hiya!
I had some Wplus9 goodies arrive last week.  So today when my men went prospecting, me and my daughter bonded, had some girly time, then die cut, stamped and coloured with some nice music on the background. Here is one of the cards we made together:)

We worked together, giggling and chatting away:) Aditi die cut and coloured the words "hope", "love" and  "Joy". I stamped the sentiments on the card and together put it all together. Colours were Aditi's choice including stamping on the "Os" and adding rhinestones. We are proud of the result. Beautiful but unusual colour combination for a Christmas card. Hope you like it too:)

Thanks for stopping by!

Have a great weekend!

G'Morning from Australia!
It is Saturday morning. Gorgeous day today. Today is day #2 of our Diwali Blog Hop. We are showcasing anything other than a card today:) I went for a candle holder. Thats because Diwali is festival of lights.
Here is my lantern/candle holder....

I used the same colours from my card yesterday to make my lantern/candle holder. I also used the Diya file to make the window and lined the inside with vellum to give a softer effect.
Here is both my card and lanter/candle holder.

Diwali Blog Hop!

Hi everybody,
Diwali is a major festival of India. It is called Festival of Lights. There are different  mythical stories behind this festival. they vary from one culture to annother in India. Whatever maybe the story behind it, everybody in India celebrates Diwali. I have vivid memory of celebrating this festival as a child, with my mother and grandmother making sweets and savoury about 2 weeks before the day. Buying new clothes, gettng up very early in the morning, lighting up firecrackers, going to temple, sharing sweets with friends and family.... so much fun. I miss it. But atleast I am able to celebrate it with some very talented Indian Crafters. So when Chaitali invited me to the blog hop, I couldn't refuse:) So welcome to the first ever Diwali Blog Hop!

Diwali Blog Hop

If you have come from Smriti's blog, then you are on the right track:)
Today, we are focusing on Diwali cards. Here is my card.

Chaitali had sent a few Silhouette files of diwali movtives and words she had made and I have used them on my card. I cut the diya(lamp) and coloured them using copics. Stamped the background using Ikat background stamp from Avery Elle Stamps. Love the Happy Diwali words which is cut using Silhouette Cameo. What intensity of colours?  Which is exactly what I wanted to achieve. Hope you like it:)

Do you want to see what the rest of them have made? Here is the list of all the blog hop crafters.

Chaitali is also giving away some Silhouette files. So make sure you visit her blog. And if you make a project using her files, make sure you link your project to the linky on her blog:)

If you are looking for The Craft's Meow's Blog Hop, then click HERE

Welcome to CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge #3
Here is the sketch for you

And here is my take on the sketch.

I have turned the elements horizontally on my card. That gorgeous flower is called Blossoms and Blooms from Avery Elle Stamps. I have not used a ribbon in a long time and found it a bit difficult to tie the knot.lol!  I added texture by embossing. I loved how my card turned out and hope you do too:)

Want to see more inspirations using the sketch? Go to the CAS(E) this Sketch Blog to see rest of the Design Team's projects. Make sure you link your project using this sketch at the blog.

You should have come from the talented Elizabeta Kushner.
What great projects, Elizabeta has created using the soon to be released stamp sets? Love her work!

For my blog hop I have used Hearth & Home stamp set.

Here is my first card, I made using this set.

I have deviated from my usual clean, simple and bright style to more vintagy style for this blog hop! I have also used pattern papers on my cards!!! Shocking, right? But I always like to try something different. So.... Hope you like it.

For the next card, I have added a technique to the vintagy style. I have done some paper piecing. That mantle stamp image is just awesome. So I decided to deck it up with some colours

Here is the close up of the paper pieced mantle image with some 3D effect as well.

Today we are showing casing two more stamp sets.
This first set is called O Christmas Tree designed by Amy Wanford

Love this set especially the different patterns of the tree. Perfect for making not only cards, but also tags.
So here are my set of tags.

Here are the closeup of the tags

Since the base of the tag is a dark colour, it is difficult to write on them unless you have a white gel pen. So I have added a white tag behind it to write your message and from whoom to who!

I love the navy, white and red combo. And I have added liquid pearls on the centre of the stars.

The second set previewing today is called  Holiday Foundations desinged by Karen B

This set has some awesome images to create your own christmas background. And some beautiful sentiments are well. Love this set.
