Watercoloured Florals!

Oh Hello everyone, I have a floral card to share with your today. My Sunday is cold, windy with hailstorms. The best thing to do was to watercolour a beautiful image. I love another of the new cling background stamp called Sweet Perfume. It is a beautiful cluster of flowers and leaves. Perfect image to watercolour. Here is the background cling stamp called Sweet Perfume from Penny Black.

I white heat embossed this image on watercoloured paper and coloured the image with Zig clean Brush watercolour pens.

Pretty Floral card1

At first, I laid a very light colour wash on the all of the images. While the paper is damp, I added shading with the darker shades of colour and blended the colour using aqua brush. It took me about an hour and half to finish watercolour with breaks in between. I then coloured the background with blue. Here are some closeups.

I then trimmed the panel to 4"x5". I added the black and white stripped pattern paper from Beau Jardins paper pack also from Penny Black on the bottom of the card base. I then added a strip of black cardstock on the bottom of the floral panel and adhered the panel on the card front using foam adhesive. The sentiment from Happy Notes stamp set is white heat embossed on black cardstock and adhered on the card front. Embellished with rose gold sequins.

A Birthday Card!

Hello everyone,

Surprise! I am posting more than one post per week! I know I have been busy and not been able to post more than one post on my blog. Life has slowed down a bit this week and so I thought I will make a post today. But next week I have more to share.

I have a card using new release stamp set from Penny Black to share with you today.

Birthday card #1

I love this new cling stamp set called Flower Cascade. So pretty and I straight away wanted to colour the image. So I stamped on white card panel and coloured the image with copic markers. This is my new favourite colour combination. Ink Blue, light green and yellow with neutral. I also brushed sparkle on the flowers.

I stamped the sentiment from Special Thoughts stamp set. Then trimmed the panel to 4"x 5.50" and adhered on an ink blue card base. I finished the card with clear droplets from Pretty Pink Posh. Here is what happened. The clear droplet did not dry and it moved when I took the photo. I didn't realise until I was blogging. So I will leave it as it. Things like this happens especially when one is in hurry!

Hope you like my card. All the new release from Penny Black are available for purchase from Penny Black Store.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today. I promise I will post more :)

I LOVE Lawn Fawn stamp sets and particularly this set called Loads of Fun. I adore the washing machine image and the accessories, let alone the sentiments. I was waiting to get my hands on it and make a shaker card.

Loads of Fun card

So I started with stamping all the images from the stamp set and coloured them using copic markers. Then I fuzzy cut them out with scissors. The images are basic in shape and so easy to cut them out. I think dies are available is you are someone who love to have matching dies for stamp sets. I then used a circle die and cut the centre of the washing machine to make a shaker card. I filled the shaker with the copic coloured clothing images I fuzzy cut. I LOVE the washing machine now :) So adorable don't you think?

Loads of fun closeup

For the background, I masked the bottom of the card front using masking tape, then sponged Spun Sugar and Adandoned Coral distress ink on top of Simon Says Stamp Trellis Grate stencil. Then I removed the mask and masked the stenciled area to sponged Gathered Twigs distress ink. I wanted wallpaper and floor background. I pretty much achieved it I think!

I adhered the washing machine, basket and other elements using foam adhesives for dimension. I stamped one half of the sentiment directly on the bottom of the card and the other on a strip of white cardstock, trimmed and adhered. Finally embellished with Sparkling Clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh!

Loads of fun flat

I should say this card is one of my favourite card I made. Hope you like it! I have listed all the products I used to make my card below.

Happy Birthday Pop Up Card!

Hey crafty friends,

Sharing an pop up card using the some new My Favorite Things products

Happy Birthday to you#1

For the card front, I have used a pattern paper from Watercolor Wash Brights paper pad. The panel is die cut using the stitched rectangle die from Blueprint Sketch 29, sponged with Mermaid Lagoon, Salty Ocean and Peacock Feathers distress ink and die cut using die namics Happy Birthday to You. This panel is adhered using foam adhesives and embellished with Rose Gold sequins.

Happy Birthday to you inside

On the inside, I trimmed a card stock about half an inch smaller than the card front and scored in the middle. I sponged Abandoned Coral, Spiced Marmalade, Squeezed Lemonade, Salty Ocean and Peacock Feathers distress inks. Spattered with clean water and dabbed them to get some texture. Then I used the die namics Pop Up Elements Narrow to die cut three pop up elements.

Happy Birthday to you inside 1

The images on the pop up elements are from Beary Special Birthday stamp set. I have coloured them with copic markers and die cut using the coordinating die namics.  The sentiments are also from the same stamp set which I have stamped on white card strip and adhered using foam adhesives.  Finally embellished with Rose Gold Sequins.

I am loving the interactive die namics from MFT. So much easier and fun to make interactive cards. All the products I have used on my cards are available at both MFT store as well as Simon Says Stamp Store.

This is my take on the challenge.

Tweetheart card

I used this cute 3D Chickie sticker from Doodlebug on my card. The panel is made using watercolour paper on which I sponged Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon and Cracked Pistachio distress inks. I then spattered clear water and blotted them. Then sprayed with fine clear shimmer. I die cut this panel using the largest of the Stitched Rectangle die from Simon.

Tweet card closeup 1

And to add more interest, I used the Heart Breeze die from Simon Says Stamp to die cut on the panel. The sentiment is from Springtime Critters stamp set from Simon Says Stamp stamped with Simon's Intense Black Ink.. I felt the sentiment was perfect with the cute chickie sticker. I them simply adhered the chickie sticker on top of the sentiment  and added a few Doodlebug Beetle Black Sprinkles.
